Birth Circle

In a circle, we can see each other, learn, unlearn, open up, laugh, cry, be heard, empowered and so much can be experienced. In this era where we find ourselves more isolated and lonely, a company of non-judgmental people can lighten us and uplift us.

Circle has a central altar where we draw energy from. Every circle has a unique central theme to reflect on and get inspired by.

A birth circle is a supportive gathering, often consisting of pregnant women, new mothers, birth professionals, and sometimes partners, who come together to share their experiences, ask questions, and offer emotional support around pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum life.

The goal of Sakhi Birth Circle is to create a safe, nurturing space where you can:

  • Share stories and experiences related to your pregnancy or birth journey.
  • Ask questions and seek advice from others who may have similar experiences.
  • Receive emotional support from the group, building a sense of community and connection.
  • Learn from each other about various aspects of birth, such as pain management techniques, birth plans, and postpartum care.

What is special about Sakhi Birth Circle?
Every circle has a unique central theme to reflect on and get inspired by. Themes like uncovering the fears around birth; using intuition and instincts in labour and birth; self-advocacy, etc. There are reflective activities to allow mothers to have a deeper connection with their body, self, and baby/babies. The circle has a beautifully lit altar which represents 5 elements (earth, water, air, fire, and space). Sharvari brings her wisdom around yoga, breathwork, inner child healing, plant-predominant food, and hypnobirthing.

These gatherings can help you reduce fear, offer validation, and promote a sense of empowerment while you are navigating the pregnancy, birth, and parenting journey.

Mother blessing aka blessing ceremony

Every culture has ceremonies to celebrate pregnancy and motherhood journey. Mother blessing aka blessing way is an ancient ritual widely practiced by native Americans. This ceremony is mother centric, holding space for her to navigate the journey of birth with power, strength, and intuition. The ceremony has an altar at the center and all guests, and the mother sit around the altar. There are several unique rituals followed. Some of the rituals are making flower crown, belly art, foot soaking, reading poems and affirmations, arti, tying thread to the candle which will be lit on labour day and so on. Rituals can be personalised and weaved as per mother needs.

The ceremony can be offered only to the mother or with guests around. It is an experience for every guest to witness the beauty of this ceremony and cherish it as a memory.

Fear release exercise

Our mind and body are interconnected. It is normal to worry and get anxious about pregnancy, labour and the parenting journey. For some, the fears and concerns are significant and need to be spoken, uncovered, and addressed. Taking time and space to process your fears and concerns helps you face labour more prepared. This can help you shift from frozen, fearful images to coping responses and fluid images.

I offer this at my residence or online, whichever is convenient for you.
